Hi, I`m new here.

  • Hi ladies, This is my first post on these boards. I`ve just got to my target weight and need some inspiration to keep it off. I lost 36lbs. from Jan. last year until June, went on vacation in Sept. and put some back on. Just as I was starting to lose it again I had to go into hospital for an op. on my legs. No exercise and being in the house all day soon took it`s toll and by the time I got back on track I had 17lbs. to lose.
I started to tackle this in mid Dec. and got down to 131 lbs. on Feb. 1st. 2lbs. below my target. Now comes the hard bit keeping it off. I`m hoping to get some tips on this here. Glad to meet you all.

  • Welcome to 3FC Way to go Christie! You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. It shows that you have the tools to maintain this loss.

After your gain you went right back and did what you had to do. That is the secret. Keep it up and remember:

  • Hi Christie-
Our weight stories sound alot alike. I am usually about 130 lbs. But with Depo- Provera and a broken heel bone I literally exploded up to 165 lbs.Starting Jan 3, I started watching portions and fat grams now, no more than 1560 calories a day and TADA I have 20 lbs left to reach my goal. What makes me happy is that now I can walk on the treadmill and I think i can do that for at least 3 days a week.Lets encourage each other and congrats to you for sticking with it. (Did I say i discontinued the Depo????)
